EDIT 07/15: Gotaluvsims @ LiveJournal.com found an issue with the geneticized version of Forget-Me-Not; although it was genetically-friendly, it was not properly townified. The issue has been fixed and the zip updated. Just let the new file overwrite the old one and your townies will now actually generate with this shade.

You know how some families have instrument-related traditions? Where they force their young to learn a particular instrument that's been in the family for ages as a way of keeping them busy and out of the way? Usually it's something like a clarinet or tuba or the piano? Yeah, mine was a glockenspiel.

Randomly clicking around Wikipedia brought back a flood of mallet-wielding memories, so I decided to name this eyeset after that particular portion of my childhood.

IN-GAME SHOTS:

With Simrenity's blessing, I've made 30 recolors of her first high resolution eye set. There is a custom version, meaning they behave the same way that regular custom eyes do, as well as a geneticized version, meaning your townies will spawn with them, and they will behave the same way that default eyes do, where darker colors are more genetically dominant over lighter colors. I've also made two default sets of some of my favorite shades.
ALL COLORS:
Most of the individual colors are either named after my various original characters and things pertaining to them (ex. Matthew does indeed have blue eyes with a bit of brown and comes from new money, hence that particular recolor being called New Money Boy

) or songs by my favorite band, Voxtrot. I've posted some of their stuff on the music thread so
go check them out!{ DOWNLOAD GENETICIZED, TOWNIE-FRIENDLY SET }Little Blue Planet through New Love have a genetic value of 1 (dominant), Brother in Conflict through Trouble have a genetic value of 2 (recessive) and Firecracker through Save the Rainforest, a.k.a. the fantasy colors, have a genetic value of 3 (even MOAR recessive). The eyes are grouped accordingly in the zip file, so if you'd rather not have sims generating with violently pink eyes, you can easily remove those.
{ DOWNLOAD CUSTOM SET }Want the recolors but not the genetics? This is the download for you.
DEFAULT SETS:

{ DOWNLOAD SET TWO } Credits/Thanks: Simrenity, of course! You can find her original eyes posted
here! Also, thanks to
Alkaloid and
Dewshine for their tutorials on geneticizing eyes, which I combined to make these. And last but not least, all the creators that have supplied the lovely content that clothes my sim models.
Policy: Simrenity's policy applies to these, i.e. don't claim as your own (credit should go to Simrenity before it goes to me) and no paysites under any circumstances, alone or packaged with a sim. My standard policy can be found
here.
Sim models: Story sims Matthew and Osman plus a random townie I grabbed off the street and made over.
edit: For those still having trouble with forget-me-not, try renaming it, or moving it to a "shallower" folder in your downloads. TS2 tends to hiccup over file paths that are over a certain length.
